1996ம் ஆண்டு தேர்தல் சமயத்தில் முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவின் ஆட்சியை விமர்சித்து எழுதி அவருடைய மனதை துன்பப்படுத்தி, அந்த தேர்தலில் அவர் தோல்விடைய முக்கிய காரணமாக நான் இருந்தேன். அவருடைய மனதை நான் மிகவும் பாதித்திருந்தேன்.
அதெல்லாம் கடந்த பிறகு, என்னுடைய மகள் ஐஸ்வர்யா திருமணம் போயஸ் கார்டன் இல்லத்தில் வைத்திருந்தேன். எனது பக்கத்து வீடே முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதாவின் வீடு. அவருக்கு பத்திரிகைக் கொடுக்காமல் இருந்தால் நன்றாக இருக்காது. எந்த முகத்தை வைத்துக் கொண்டு பத்திரிகைக் கொடுப்பது என்ற தர்மசங்கடமான சூழல் எனக்கு ஏற்பட்டது. முதலில் அவரை சந்திக்க நேரம் கேட்கலாம் என கேட்டேன், உடனே கொடுத்தார்கள். வரமாட்டார்கள் என நினைத்து, சம்பிராயத்துக்குக் கொடுத்தேன். பத்திரிகையைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு, கழகத்தின் இன்னொரு தொண்டர் திருமணம் இருக்கிறது. அதனை தள்ளி வைக்கச் சொல்லிவிட்டு, கண்டிப்பாக வருகிறேன் என்றார். சொன்னபடி திருமணத்துக்கு வந்து அவருடைய முன்னிலையில் திருமணமும் நடைபெற்றது. அந்த மாதிரி பொன்மனசு கொண்டவர் ஜெயலலிதா அவர்கள் எங்களுடன் இல்லை.
