Short Story with Deep meaning

I read this story somewhere in a Tamil magazine.

Once a saint and his students visited a nearby village. There are some people who did not like his ideals and principles. One among them visited the saint one day and starting scolding him with bad words. The students got furious and tried to take him away. But the saint allowed him to finish. Once he left the students asked the saint, that man was disrespectful to you yet you didn't react anything. Saint replied if someone gives you a gift and you don't accept it, to whom it goes back?
